“ We rode our motorcycles from Clifton to Alpine to have lunch. The Bear Wallow Cafe was the only place open. The service was fast and friendly. It was a little cold so the hot tea warmed my bones! We got the hot roast beef sandwich and chili cheese fries. Food was delicious and more than we could eat. There were quite a few folks who came in for pie and coffee....it must be really good pie. Wish we hadn't too full to try it. we we ever visit Arizona again, we will definitely plan a trip back to the Bear Wallow Cafe! ”
“ A very friendly hometown Diner. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner. A good selection on the menu for each time you want to eat. Sarah our waitress was absolutely wonderful. I had the open-faced beef roast sandwich and mashed potatoes. Was very good. My wife had a Mexican combo plate. Very large portions so you will get plenty to eat. They also had quite a large assortment of pies. See the attached pictures if you would like. ”
“ Service was super friendly - they made us feel appreciated and valued. My 92-year old father had an open-faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy and was in heaven :) My sister's patty melt was delicious and the tacos my brother and I had were solid. As a hunter and outdoorsman, I loved the atmosphere - tons of pickup sheds on the wall and lots of photos. Finally, they knew we were traveling through and asked if they could get us any drinks for the road (on the house). So glad we chose this place! ”

“ One of my Favorite places to eat. Discovered about 20 years ago. Homemade pies are always good, as is the coffee and iced tea. Special of the Day today was a Roast Beef, green Chiles, and cheese Haystack on toasted marble rye. Homemade beef barley vegetable soup was excellent . Servers are always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A MUST Visit in Alpine !!! ”
